Dr. Ericka Wright - Assistant Principal

Dr. E. Wright is a native of Detroit, Michigan, who graduated from the Detroit School of Arts (DSA). Although her arts career ended at DSA, she acquired the love and passion for teaching from the teachers who taught her at DSA. She furthered her academic career in order to pursue the teaching profession at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in English and Communication and Theater Arts, as well as her Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership at EMU. Mrs. Wright continued her studies at the University of West Florida (UWF) with an earned Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. She recently completed her doctorate degree at UWF.    

Mrs. Wright began her teaching career with Detroit Public Schools, which is where she adopted the motto-- "Educate. Innovate. Love and Inspire." Through her motto, she was able to capture the interest of students who knew education was imperative because of the economic hardships people faced. Her journey in the education field traveled to her father's hometown of Statesboro, GA where she continued to uphold her motto as well as student achievement. Currently, her journey has positioned her in the Bibb County School District, which the expectancy of her motto as well as student achievement will be accomplished.
